FENRIR GREYBACK CLAIMS ANOTHER VICTIM
Wizarding Community Falls Under Fear of Killing Spree
by Dabriel Lochran
With the quiet full moons of the last couple of months, much of the Wizarding World believed that the threat of Fenrir Greyback had passed with only one victim taken on his way out of the country (the murder of Miss Raithen Cain was reported in a Daily Prophet exclusive this past May). Alas, readers, this was not the case. Early this morning, the body of one Miss Amorelle Weasley, daughter of the late Bilius and Rosalie Weasley of Ottery St. Catchpole, was found in her flat in Chipping Campden. It was confirmed shortly thereafter the discovery that Miss Weasley was indeed the latest victim of Fenrir Greyback. His mark, a circle with a handprint drawn in his own blood, was found in close proximity to the body thus assuring his responsibility in her death.
The condition of the body was reported to be unrecognizable, requiring magical means to confirm her identity. As of this morning, no other reports have been issued by the Aurors in charge of the investigation. When asked if this murder had any correlation to the recent deaths of two other members of wizarding society, not occurring on the full moon, investigators denied any relation. A Mr. Claudio Plumpton and a Mrs. Griselda Nettles were both victims of what authorities have claimed to be unrelated crimes or accidents in recent months. The cause of death for both has been reported as most likely being muggle related crimes due to the violent, non-magical means of their deaths. Both have been reported as stabbing deaths in muggle areas of London and neither bore Greyback's 'mark'. However, this reporter would like to make note of one, rather odd detail connecting the deaths. All four victims, starting with Miss Raithen Cain, had red hair. Possibly a coincidence, or are investigators missing a pattern here?
If the last name of Weasley rings some bells for you, our readers, one might recall that the Weasley name belongs to a very well known pureblood family very closely associated with our own Saviour, Harry Potter. The victim is none other than the first cousin of Ronald Bilius Weasley, best friend and former Gryffindor housemate of Harry Potter, member of ‘The Golden Trio’, and youngest son to Arthur and Molly Weasley. Mr. Ronald Weasley, rumored to be residing with Mr. Potter at an undisclosed location, was unavailable for comment. Mr. Arthur Weasley, employee of The Ministry as the Head of the Office for the Detection and Confiscation of Counterfeit Defensive Spells and Protective Objects, was also not available for comment. However, we were able to catch up with, Molly Weasley, Aunt to the victim, who was apparently unaware of the previous night’s murder. Her reaction was one of stunned silence, mouth agape, with only a whispered, "Not again," before claiming no comment.
According to Ministry representative, Cordelia Morales-Smythe, the Ministry had this to say about the recent homicide, “Rest assured that we are doing everything in our power to catch this monster. We will not stand by idly while Greyback terrorizes our community. We're taking decisive action to protect you but ask that you use extreme caution until Greyback has been caught. The recent loss of life was tragic and we aim to prevent such a thing from happening again.”
