A Day in the Life

I am currently in a Beatles obsessed state. Within the past month or so I've saved 15 hours worth of their songs on my computer, watched A Hard Day's Night, Help!, Across the Universe (a musical featuring about 30 of their songs) all ten hours of the Anthology, countless interviews and performances and am in the middle watching the directors cut as well as reading the Anthology book.

My first  memory of hearing them is my 8th grade P.E. teacher played ''A Hard Day's Night" while we jump roped in the gym. I also remember, a year later, when I was 14, I kept a newspaper that had an article about George Harrison after he died. I'm not sure I even knew who he was, but it's fitting now sense he's my favorite Beatle. It's so sad to think the he and John Lennon are gone. I hope they are at peace where ever they are.

I prefer their less known non-singles. Some of my favorites are: "Tomorrow Never Knows", "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away", "Don't Bother Me", "Please Please Me", "Dear Prudence", "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)", "In My Life", "Blackbird", their cover of the Smokey Robinson song "You Really Got a Hold on Me," etc. 'Twist and Shout' is like an orgasm for the ear. It's pure rock 'n' roll.

What is your earliest Beatles memory? Favorite Beatle? Favorite songs, albums? etc...
