BECAUSE I FELT LIKE IT...
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Fairly tall, both as a wolf and a human, and is able to change just how large: his actual, “true” height as a wolf is large enough for his saliva to create a river. As a human, he averages around 6’.
2. How old is he?
Oooold. Seeing as, you know, he’s a mythological figure. :x He looks to be in about his mid-twenties to mid-thirties.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
It honestly depends. Usually, he’s pretty relaxed and lazy when it comes to his posture.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
He’s in perfect health. He can’t die until Ragnarok, so until then, he’s fit as a fiddle.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
… Wolf-like. Even as a human, there’s something very There to remind you that, oh hey, this is a predator (or, alternatively, “this is a big puppy with equally big teeth”).
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
Well, he thinks he’s gorgeous. He’s rather attractive, but he also likes to change PBs, soo.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Lightly tanned, as a human (though very obviously has Nordic background), with black fur as a wolf.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
Again, his fur is black as a wolf. As a human, is hair is a dark brown/black, and feels remarkably like fur, only softer. His hair is cut short, though he sometimes lets it get a bit shaggy.
9. What color are his eyes?
As a wolf, they’re typically either brown or a golden-amber, though there have been instances when they’ve been red. As a human, usually brown, golden-amber, or blue. Shapeshifters. :|
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
There is a thin ‘collar’ around his neck as a wolf. This collar is actually Gleipnir, the silken ribbon that chains him in place until Ragnarok. It’s visible as a thin silver necklace as a human. His teeth, when human, are also generally a bit pointy.
11. What are his chief tension centers?
The back of the neck, behind his ears, and between his shoulderblades.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
Fen usually dresses in black, grays, blues, and white (sometimes with khakis). He usually looks rather well-dressed, even when he’s casual, though that may just be Divine Influence.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
Impeccably well. He usually seems fairly comfortable in them, though if he’s feeling particularly wolfish… not so much.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
As Fenrir’s “job” is basically “sit around until Ragnarok”, yes, he does.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Ask Artemis. … Honestly, I think he goes between boxers, boxer-briefs, and nothing at all.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Fairly deep, though it usually deepens when he gets into Serious Doom Wolf mode.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
Lazily. Fenrir comes off like he has all the time in the world when he speaks unless it’s something very important. He hesitates more when it’s something that has deeper emotional significance, and he’s much more direct when he’s trying to make someone listen to him.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
When he’s really playing up the “old Norse” thing, he’ll get much more formal, but… he barely does. He says “gods” instead of “god” (as in, “oh my gods”) and his laugh typically sounds like a bark.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
Old Norse, all of the Scandinavian languages, Old English, and English (both English-English and American-English). He’s fluent in all of them, and has a passing familiarity with a few other languages (though that’s likely from hanging out with Thoth than actually caring about them).
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
He’ll sometimes mutter things in Old Norse, but he usually sticks to English now.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
It depends on the situation. If it’s something he’s comfortable with, he can talk for days. If it’s something that he’s emotionally invested in (which is rare), he takes much more time to think.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
He’s fairly eloquent when he wants to be, though he really doesn’t care enough to try, hence his typical “lazy” manner of speaking.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
He’s smart, though he very rarely comes off that way. He’s much more street-smart than book smart, though.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
Thinks on his feet. And on his paws.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Intuitive and practical. It’s likely wolf instinct mixed with his father, Loki’s, trickster nature.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
None, really.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
… Norse mythology and wolves? And also food. He’d love to be a professional chef.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
It’s actually hard to say. He doesn’t talk about the things that matter to him much, but he loves being around people (and getting attention), so… extrovert.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Fen is pretty laid-back, unless you piss him off. Threaten the people he cares about, or just generally act stupid, and you’ll have a face full of pissed off teeth.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
If he gets a bad ‘vibe’, he’s tense and growly. If not, he’s pretty chill.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
React.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Fight.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
Oh god, all of the above. He’s a troll.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
No?
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
His ‘chaining’ by the main Norse gods… and meeting Artemis. :x
14. What does he fear?
Something happening to his ‘pack’ that he can’t stop or do anything about.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
He wants to find some way to escape his destiny and Ragnarok, no matter how impossible it seems.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
He can actually be quite a sweetheart, and absolutely dotes on Artemis, their cat, and their unborn child. He also dotes on Chloe, a werewolf pup.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
He isn’t really in contact with his mother, but he and Loki get along fairly well. They have similar senses of humor, which helps.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Yes, several. He and Sleipnir don’t get along at all, while he doesn’t really have any opinions either way on Nari and Narfi. He gets along fairly well with his full-sister, Hel, and his full-brother, Jörmungandr.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
He really wishes he had a better relationship with his two sons, Sköll and Hati Hróðvitnisson. He loathes Odin, though, and most of the other gods involved in his ‘chaining’.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
Oh lord, yeah. His girlfriend, Artemis, is the main one, but also Jim Kirk, Leonard McCoy, Xion, John “Reaper” Grimm, Thoth, Persephone… and the werewolf pack.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Right now, Artemis is his best friend. D’awww.
6. Does he have other close friends?
He’s pretty close with Reaper, Thoth, and Jim.
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
… Haha, well. It depends. It really, really depends. XD
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
His “pack” is the most important, and that’s a little of both.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
Uhh. Taken. He’s never really been ‘married’.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
… Well, as he isn’t married, yes?
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
I have no idea who his first crush is, other than that he had two wolf-sons with someone at one point. His first crush while I’ve had him was the Greek goddess Athena, while his current crush and his girlfriend is Elizabeth “Artemis” Rowland.
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
… Honestly? Attractiveness first. Fenrir can be kind of shallow. After that, a sense of humor, not being overly “I NEED YOU TO LIVE”, that sort of thing.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
Two sons who are wolves, Sköll and Hati Hróðvitnisson, and a human child with Artemis on the way. He and his sons don’t really relate much beyond “we’re all wolves with crappy destinies”, and he never really gets to see them due to their jobs. He’s really excited about his unborn baby, though.
14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
Odin Odin Odin Odin Odin Odin Odin and everyone who likes Odin enough to kill him for him. :x
… Also, Auster, Mr. R, Quenby, and Buer are currently on his shitlist. Auster and Mr. R for being an ass to Artemis about him, Quenby for… being Quenby, and Buer for the conditions of the deal he made with Artemis all those years ago and because Fenrir is worried about Ariadne.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the
Kinsey scale?
He’d be about a 1 or a 2. He really likes women. Men are just sort of… there. Good buddies, but not really anything else.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
He loves sex. Loves it. However, he’d never go and find it somewhere else while he’s with Artemis, and in that case, waited for her to initiate it. (He was spending a lot of time with his hand. :x)
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
For such an Alpha Male, Fenrir really likes it when Artemis is the dominate one. Because he has such excellent senses, he’s rather easily turned on by how she smells and tastes. It’d be interesting to see what he’d do if blindfolded.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (
zodiac of
choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
Nope, and he probably wouldn’t fit just to be an ass.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
Not really religious, per se, but spiritual. Considering he’s the son of a god and worshipped as one by the werewolf packs, it’s sort of hard not to be.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Er. Not particularly. He wouldn’t kill someone just because he felt like it, but he’s not against hurting or killing people who really, really piss him off and/or who threaten the people he cares about. As a wolf, he’s fine with stealing food. And again, he would never, ever cheat on Artemis (or anyone else he truly cares about).
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
Well, he thinks that people who don’t believe in higher powers are stupid (considering he usually doesn’t make a big secret out of who he is), but he usually understands why. He’s fairly tolerant and curious, though if he thinks something is stupid or ignorant, he won’t make a secret of it.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
Other than Odin, for that whole “here I’m going to chain you up by the way your destiny is to kill me and then be killed” thing… not really? He’ll just hold onto grudges.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Ahaha, honestly, I’m not sure. He’s definitely not wanting.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
Well, seeing how he used to be stuck in one place, his social status has definitely gone up. People are beginning to think of him as more than just “the Nordic doom wolf” now, too, and he has friends and other people that he genuinely cares about. In addition, he’s thinking a lot more about ~destiny~ and if it’s possible to change your fate.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
He lives in a house. … I think. Or possibly with Artemis in her apartment? I don’t know. But he lives with Artemis and Bella the kitty (and baby on the way!).
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
… More food. XD And stuff for Artemis and Bella.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
… he doesn’t actually do anything. But again, he wouldn’t mind becoming a chef.
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
FOOD. And hunting, though as a wolf, and… trolling people. When he isn’t doing any of those, he’s sleeping, playing with Bella, or spending time with Artemis or one of his other friends.
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
Fenrir does not skip meals. Fenrir adds meals. He eats out, and drinks every once in a while, but it’s mostly FOOD FOOD FOOD. Really, the only things that he might avoid are excess fruits and vegetables.
