Mostly out of curiosity to see what the interface is like these days. I used to blog to help with my memory and to make a few spiderweb connections to others. If I glance back 10 or 15 years at some of my entries its somewhat rewarding to consider activities and events and people I otherwise have completely lost.
But what do I really have to write about now? Covid happened and is ending, and I got my vaccine so I am hermiting a little less - but I was hermiting before and rather perversely enjoyed that I was supposed to be doing what I would naturally do and thats stay at home and avoid people. My last long term romantic relationship ended shortly before this all broke so I've been kind of isolated. I see my parents still, I see some people at work but I mostly work from home.
Over the last few months I became interested in baking, which in 40 something years I had never ever done and now I'm starting to get pretty good at bread and make something almost every day. It's a hobby you can eat so that's cool. On facebook I can easily blog my daily baking and I'm not sure a convenient way to do that on Livejournal - so thats a strike.
I didnt used to eat mayonnaise, but now I will, especially if its mixed with something. Home meal kits have taught me that most sauces are mayo or sour cream mixed with a flavoring.
