I've been plagiarized!
Looks like someone named "Katie-baum" decided that Unidentified would make a great One Tree Hill fanfic.
Any advice on how do I go about getting this story taken down (and if possible, some kind of public retraction issued)? To my knowledge, this is a first for me.
(Seriously, go check it out -- she just replaced the names and pronouns, and she even wrote a great little author's note about how she's been toying with this idea for a while and has the whole plot mapped out. It's ... really quite something.)
ETA: I've reported her to the FFnet abuse team and I have a post going up (pending mod approval) at stop_plagiarism. Also, it appears that she's plagiarized at least three other SGA authors. I'll keep you all posted as events proceed.
Also, since a few people have asked: I won't stop anyone who wants to leave a review pointing out the plagiarism. (Not like I could, anyway; I'm not the boss of you. *laughs*) I do ask, however, that you don't flame or personally attack her on my behalf. I really hate it when internet interaction get vicious, however justified it may feel, and on the off-chance this person used to write her own stuff or plans to do so again some day, I don't want her scared off of fiction entirely. I'm in favor of people writing -- often, and with enthusiasm. I just wish she were actually writing instead of copying and pasting.
