My dad calls me at work saying I didn't get into the public health masters program at state. I felt relieved. I thought I could work full time until the next application period and earn some decent dough. I mean, I'm pretty content working. Even though my pay would barely breach comfortable independent living, it feels good just being close to it. However, that seemingly approved plan for myself vanished as my dad followed with a poorly timed "sike". I was accepted after all. The joyful response my dad was expecting was replaced with an indifferent "all right then". Not one bone in my body misses school, maybe the stapes (the smallest bone in the human body). I'll do it for my own good. I'm sure once education refills my veins, I'll be more enthused.
