I wouldn't normally comment on something so trivial as American Idol, but I felt the outcome was so expected it was almost ridiculous to think otherwise. There wasn't even any gratification when proven right; Kris Allen wins. I've only seen the last two episodes and I knew just by looking at the two contestants who "America" would choose. My reasoning came from the assumption that both contestants are equally talented. I would then, through the perspective of "America", or at least my cynical view of Americas' perspective, would judge the two by who they are. Talent might even just  be an after thought when making my decision. Using key words only, Gay has no fighting chance against Straight and Christian in America, especially for Idol's key demographic. Reality TV showcasing talent should be judged and the winner decided by individuals who are qualified, not fucking "America". I vote to cancel such nonsense (or call for some major amendments).
