Sex Pox, part the eleventeenth. Also, Carnival!

Okay, so Ren fisked this bizarre rant better than I could anyway, and I really have no time to bother with it anyway. But I feel the need to snark one little snark. :)

Source post:
I’m not a “sex-positive” feminist, inasmuch as that term is used to refer to the kinds of people who believe that women, by adopting the piggish sexual attitudes of men and becoming complicit in their own objectification, can fuck their way to being treated like human beings. In fact, I say piss on that misleading term altogether.
Me:

Funny, and here I thought I "adopted the sexual attitudes of men" because I'm a top, and I like that better. (Yeah, I know she probably means this to refer to female *bottoms* who are too "slutty"/feminine for her taste, and someone like me's not even on her radar. Still, the phrasing made me snerk. Loud-like.)

*clonk*

Ow, my head! What's THAT!

Egad, I've been hit in the brainpan with an anvil reading "the personal is political"! Not AGAIN!

Hmpf.

*smacks silly person upside the head with six-inch silicone Political Statement*

:)

And now for spiff: The 5th Feminist Carnival of Sexual Freedom and Autonomy, c/o Amber Rhea this time. I'm in it again. YAY.

(oh, and I was also gonna snark at "Using your sexuality to try to control people doesn’t make you a feminist" but all I could think of was "No, it's just fun." Not nearly goofy enough...)

funny, silly, radical feminism, blog carnivals, why i love my friends, sex positive
