Motormaster, on the other hand, was newly-sparked. The closest the brute had ever come to playing general was bossing his team around. Who were neonates just like him, and just as ill-tempered, erratic, and confused. Motormaster only managed to "lead" the little band of fools -- if such it could be called -- because they were too naive, too stupid, or too easily swayed by their gestalt bond to truly disobey.
But Motormaster was big. Big, and angry, and perfectly capable of leaving terribly impressive dents.
And Megatron himself had created Motormaster and his brothers. Which meant that Megatron favored all of them, including Large and Dense.
Oh, and the big brute had a force field, as well. Which made retaliation on Onslaught's own time entirely more complicated than Onslaught wanted to deal with right now.
He vented a heavy sigh, carefully peeling himself free from the wall one too many impacts had left him imbedded in.
"Perhaps it was unwise to antagonize him," Onslaught muttered, glowering, as he began an entirely too long and painful walk back the way he'd come.

I honestly love Motormaster, which is also part of Onslaught's problem here.
The mech's a big angry kid who doesn't know his cam shaft from his gearshift yet, who is placed in a leadership role over a group that is (or was briefly, at least) seen as the great new hope for his Cause.
His biggest role model is (essentially) his dad, who's millenia old and has a known knack for bouncing back from absolutely ANYTHING. And who he really, really, really wants to impress and make proud of him.
To me, it's no wonder he's always angry. As I see him, it's terrible and very much understandable insecurity.
In an Autobot it would manifest as something like Roddi's brooding. In a big, aggressive fighter who's not supposed to show it, it manifests as "horrible temper even for a 'Con."
Or at least that's how I see him, anyway.
I'd pat him, but I'd probably lose my facial bone structure at the very least.
(I'd write more fic about MM, but honestly I like some of the Stunticons but not all of them. So I keep looking for the right fic idea where I can either focus on MM and/or those I do like in his team, or where the plot idea grabs me enough it makes me like/want to flesh out the others.)
