...your fandoms play mix and match in your head.
Okay so tell me why I have this persistent plotbunny wherein the Phyrexian oil somehow ends up on Cybertron (well, or Earth) and infects some Decepticons, who welcome it because they think it will help them become stronger and more powerful (which it will, but at a price.) And Megatron realizes that this new power from some strange dimension wants control of his army, which is entirely unacceptable to him.
But of course, the Phyrexian oil corrupts anything mechanical it can seep into, so the infection spreads anyway, both to the Decepticons and, eventually, the Autobots as well. And of course it gets into Megatron. Who is not at all receptive to its promises - he likes power, but he dislikes being beholden to alien entities whose technology (actually magic, of course) is completely alien to him even less.
So it progressively sickens him (and many others who resist it), and both the 'Bots and 'Cons realize this is nasty stuff and team up, the 'Bots seeking a cure or at least ways to retard the oil's spread and the 'Cons coming up with new and creative ways to vaporize those carrying the infection so they can't spread it.
And eventually, Megatron slips into a fevered dream, and encounters the Father of Machines himself... and has to not only resist what's now the siren call of his influence, but trick him into giving away what can stop him.
Which maybe even leads to calling up some planeswalkers. Tezzeret, anyone? ;-)
