Cleveland

Kris Michaels exhaled slowly as she now stood in the streets of Cleveland, a big sudden change from New Orleans but she had finished her business there, her father was dead, debts paid off in full but she couldn't ignore her "destiny" even if she wanted to with all of her heart. She was a Slayer, she knew this now and this was where she needed to be, and from what she had heard, she needed to find the one called Buffy Summers.

She slid her hands into the pockets of her baggy blue jeans as she wandered the streets, she really had no idea where to go or how to locate someone like that, in a city like this. It was sheer insanity in a way and she knew this, but she would eventually figure something out, but for now, she needed to find somewhere to stay. She had some money in her wallet, but it wouldn't last too long but it would be enough to get her a motel room, a seedy motel yes, but still it was a room and a roof over her head.

Just as she thought things couldn't get any worse, the skies broke open and yes, it rained on her. An eyebrow twitched in mild annoyance as the rain hit her hard and her hair now stuck to her face," Great just great." Kris quickly darted to the nearest motel she could see, she didn't care about whether or not it was seedy anymore, it was out of the rain and she could think more clearly when she wasn't being rained on.

The man at the desk was about as disgusting as they came, perverted as well as slimy, Kris did all she could to ignore him, or hit him, either one would do. She eventually got herself a room, a very small, dingy and frankly, disgusting room. Shaking her head, Kris dumped her bags to the ground and fell back onto the bed, so this was Cleveland?

Things were certainly going to be interesting from here on out.

So here I am, in Cleveland....at long last, after I don't know how much time of aimless wanderings in New Orleans, hang on, they were aimless. I had an aim, it just didn't lead me to here very quickly, I had a lot to take care of in New Orleans and I did my fair share of patrolling and slaying, I know what I am, a man named Whistler found me and told me so but he failed to tell me which way to go exactly.

For some reason, I was drawn to New Orleans and I went, no reason to it, just a gut instinct and true, it got me in more hot water than I could have bargained for but it helped me grow, helped me to become a better Slayer and a better person, that's what most people say about things that don't kill you, right?

I never thought, that saying would become literal for me, but it has done, and it hasn't killed me yet, tomorrow is a brand new day, a day I hope will be better than this one and the ones before it, I can hope can't I?

Time to pass out, I need sleep, it's been so long since I slept last.
