Kris snarled as one more vampire head went rolling across the floor before he burst into dust, she coughed and sneered as the last three looked at her warily, she had just dusted about four vampires before them so I guess they had reason but Kris wasn't thinking with reason. She flicked the sword in her hand, smirking slowly,
" You going to stand around there and gawk all day or what?"
One vampire was bold enough and he launched himself at the Slayer, Kris however had been watching his movements and sidestepped the launch before with one clean strike of a stake, it stabbed though his chest, impaling him through what she could call his heart, but she didn't know, didn't care for that matter.
The vampire's cry was cut short by the fact, he burst into dust shortly after, the last two vampires thought better of facing a Slayer, turned and started to run away." Why must they always run?" Kris muttered softly as she pulled a crossbow from the ground, and with one pull of the trigger, she caught one of the vampire's through his chest, reducing him to nothing more than a dust pile.
Smirking, she reloaded the crossbow and with a tip of her head, she took out the last vampire. As he burst into nothing but dust, she wandered over, kicking the dust across the alleyway before she paused for thought. Why was it everyone else was having sex or pulling pranks? And here she was dusting vamps? Funny how that happened.
Leaving messages for Hayden hadn't seemed to get her anywhere, he was probably busy doing something but what did she care, right? She had the entire night to herself, a crossbow, stake and sword, what more could a girl ask for? She felt, free, alive, probably why she was out killing the bad guys, because she felt she could do it without worrying about consequences or worrying about her life being at stake.
Turning, she left the alleyway, she could do anything if she put her mind to it. She had killed Orion after all, that thought was enough to make her smile. Glancing to the moon, she smiled as her eyes glinted in the darkness before the young Slayer set off down a new street, watching for any signs of trouble, or for any signs of fun, not that kicking ass and taking numbers wasn't fun but really, even she needed something else to do.
