wanted: friends

it seems that alot of my lj friends have moved away from livejournal... rarely or never updating, seemingly reading their friends lists and commenting even less. i didn't really realize this until i had the time to update more regularly. when i was only updating once or twice per month, and my posts tended to be ridiculously long, i figured that was the reason for the lack of comments on my posts.

one of the main reasons i started an online journal was because i liked the sense of community inherent in it. but over the last couple of years, that sense of community has seemed to die off, at least in my journal. personally, i try to participate in the journals of my friends as much as possible. i always read every post on my friends list, no matter how busy i am, and comment anytime i feel i have something relevant to say.

i want to build that community again. as narcissistic as it sounds, i want people that are interested in what i have to say... and that will tell me so. people that actually read their friends lists, and comment regularly. and, that's where you come in... at least, those of you that are actually reading this. i respetfully request recommendations... people that are intelligent, interesting, and that participate in livejournal as a community. and preferably no creepy obsessed fanboys/girls with washed-out slash fiction icons of harry potter and draco malfoy kissing with emo lyrics under them in script fonts so small they're not legible.

similar interests would be a plus, too, though not necessary. check out teh almighty userinfo for all that.

of course, all this supposes that all of you out there actually read your friends list anyways... and if enough of you did, i probably wouldn't be making this request in the first place! catch 22, bitches. and another catch 22, if you're reading this, most of the above comments obviously aren't addressed to you! crazy shit, man. well, except for the request for friend recommendations. that part's still addressed to you.

friends, fangirls/boys, internet, livejournal
