i've been watching the first season of
Millennium. every episode has a different quote after the credits, and above subject struck me. it seems like the true cry of the agnostic.
i always wanted to watch Millennium when it originally aired, back in those crazy mid-90's, but it was at a time that i wasn't watching much tv. anyhow, i saw a few episodes here and there, and it was enough to make me want to go back and find it and watch it all the way through.
so far, the first season has had a few stand-out episodes, but there have also been some rather forgettable ones too... from what i understand, it picks up alot more in the second and third season, when it goes more in-depth into what the millennium organization is really all about.
one thing i find i'm becoming increasingly aware of when i'm watching tv shows from all eras simultaneously is actors playing bit part roles on lots of different shows. for instance, a couple episodes back on millennium,
michael hogan, who plays col. tigh on the new
battlestar galactica, was playing some bit part police captain. also,
terry o'quinn (
Lost's john locke) had a recurring role on millennium, as another member of the millennium organization.
i'm not sure what this heightened awareness of background actors means... maybe it's my mutant power. i hope not. i was holding out for something cool.
ps - my fucking posts always seem to end up being like, 4 times as long as i intend them to be when i start.
