Work. Budget. Music. Thinking about Alaska. Still too warm.
Hit up the Sound of Music Fest in Burlington (Ontario) this past weekend. Saw Daylight For Deadeyes; First Time Fallen and hung around to listen to The Stampeders and Shaye. I missed TEEN. But you know, they started all the bands early. :P
I wanted to stay for 54-40, but I'd already committed to the 89x B-day Bash in Detroit on Sun. :(
So I missed the performers at the Fox Theatre. But the ones I really wanted to see were at the State. And a couple were on the Woodward Outdoor. So I missed Dashboard Confessional and Hawthorne Heights ... just have to wait for the next fest ... and with DC in attendance, there was a small mosh for Ashes of Soma ... which made me happy because I wasn't feeling up to fighting the masses.
I'm in love. Well, not really. But I immensely enjoyed the performances and would be happier than a "pig in shit" if I could see another fest with a great group - maybe something like Lilith or Stardust - with AoS, Bedouin Soundclash, Never Ending White Lights, Bedford Drive, AFI, Daylight For Deadeyes, First Time Fallen (and I think I would like to see Rocketface, Everything At Once, Thornley, Idle Sons and TEEN on that list, but I'm holding out until I get a chance to actually see them perform).
Glad Wonderland was a good time. And let me know about the ball game. I'll even side with the 500s. :D
