(no subject)
So I decided, at the very last minute, to change the topic of my first IR essay. I keep swinging between mild amounts of terror because I am so behind on my reading and the bibliography is going to be teeny tiny and feeling inordinate amounts of enthusiasm for the topic. I want to argue that the realist conception of power is totally baw because it doesn't take things like the ability to set agendas/shape institutions, pre-existing assumptions in dominant states and the influence of language into account.
Which would be awesome, if I could write the damn thing. D: I was in the library til ten yesterday and only got two paragraphs done. I'm a little sad that it's going to be pretty mediocre, but... eh, first ever university essay. At least I know to do a lot more research for the next one.
... next IR one. I have to write a mediocre essay on abortion, too. URGH.
