I mean, I enter every icontest imaginable, and I lose them to total crap icons. Like this one I'm using, here. I thought it was gorgeous, but it lost. Not even a mod's pick. And in final_chorus, the ones I thought were awful win hands down. Maybe I'm just a starving artist. All my icons will be priceless after I'm dead. Haha.
