Let's start with One Direction performing for the judges to see if they will be accepted into the finals. Basically the first few seconds where Harry and Louis run into one another's arms after Louis returns from a visit to the hospital. :3333

I think with Louis there's a lot of surface distraction, especially during the X Factor era. I was instantly drawn to him then, mostly because I just couldn't imagine that all that horsing around and ridiculousness wasn't a cover for something more and then you get to see the little glimpses of him being really caring (especially when one of the other boys is upset) and you're like "oh yes! there you are!" I'm also really interested in the Peter Pan comparison because there are a lot of quotes about staying young and not wanting to grow up and being mischievous etc etc and when he was about to turn 20 he even had a couple of tweets about being sad he wasn't going to be a teenager anymore. I feel like that's a big part of why Harry and Louis work so well together and get on so well because Harry likes to be silly and have fun too and because Harry seems up for almost anything so I just imagine Louis coming up with crazy things for them to do and Harry being totally game for it. And then you get them off X Factor and it's almost like Louis is a totally different person. I mean the diaries for X Factor were way different than having someone ask you questions and having to come up with decent answers but Louis is less silly in interviews (still fun and cheeky and always up for teasing one of the other boys) but less just rambunctious I guess. So, I feel like a lot of people who didn't like him on X Factor have warmed up to him since then.

And I think the band in general probably gets sick of being asked the same dumb questions. I imagine interviews are not their favorite thing. I think the problem with Harry is that he doesn't often get embarrassed and even when he does he handles it really gracefully so it allows journos to be really horrible and not have it be awkward or ruin their interview because Harry just smoothly handles them asking really invasive, personal stuff. Whereas you see Louis get annoyed sometimes or Liam, Zayn, and Niall get so embarrassed they will actually physically hide their face or look horrified. Anyway I think it makes him feel more accessible and so he inadvertently gets more attention. Also like Louis is so fond of saying, he's really charming. He can talk to anyone!
