The first lights will be lit tonight for the start of Chanukah. Sarah and the boys will be allowed to come down to Hogsmeade each night for the blessings. We have got to cling to every glimmer of hope you can get these days and maybe we can win against all the odds just like our forefathers did. Hopefully, some more will come down with them and there will be a little bit of laughter again. You see them and they have old eyes in young faces.
With all the preparations that are going on and it being to dangerous to go home this close to the end of term, I have been thinking. St Mungos always are in need of an extra pair of hands - everyone knows that. Maybe after this, they will train me a little in some Healing spells in return for me doing a lot of the schlepping that hospitals always need doing. Trained Healers don't need to be making tea for the patients or making up the prescriptions. Anyone who has an ounce of common sense can do those things.
Hopefully, they will agree to this and if there is an attack at the school, at least then I will be able to help once I get the little ones out.
