Woodward Cruise and General Updates...

Walk along some of the Woodward Dream Cruise on the way to the post office yesterday. It was 68, sunny, and not a cloud in the sky. It felt cozy and neighborly to see everyone turning out for their local fair along Woodward. Now that I don't live in the thick of the cruise route, it is an even more enjoyable experience. There were some impressive cars, even a few model T's. Sadly, exhaust fumes seem to be an attractant for cigarette smoke, both of which were trapped a bit by the food and sales tents, resulting in an aroma to which I will not subject myself again anytime soon. Dream Cruise comes but once a year...

For those who don't know, I've just returned from an extended visit with my boyfriend. It was lovely to have plenty of time together; but the circumstances could have been better. He had a benign tumor, and part of his tailbone, removed. Ouch. But the surgeon said all went very well. He was an excellent patient. Even though his activities were restricted, he wasn't grouchy or demanding. We played cards, did origami, cooked, read, watched movies, had friends over and made a pillow fort. All in all, a it was a surprisingly wonderful time, after the surgery was over and he was in the clear.

Hmm... I don't think I have posted about my trip to Isle Royale, but that is another story, and shall be told another time. I'm off to L--'s for a crabmeat feast.
