Weird day. I had a dentist appointment at 7. I only went because I have a couple funky spots on two of my teeth where there's a groove deep enough to catch a fingernail in. The hygienist told me that it's definitely not decay, and most likely I'm brushing so hard that I've worn away the enamel in those spots. She did the cleaning, then the dentist came in for the exam. He looked in my mouth for all of fifteen seconds, and was out of the room in under a minute. When I went to pay, they told me the total would be 126 dollars. Turns out that the 90 they quoted me is for the cleaning. They charged me 36 dollars for the 15 seconds the dentist looked in my mouth. So that kind of messed up my money again. Basically all of the money I have in the bank at the moment is owed, between rent, phone money and my credit card bill (the current balance plus the dentist which I charged). My paycheck from school isn't coming until next Thursday. On the bright side, I'm supposed to be getting my tax refund next week. I'm hoping I can keep out part of it to get ahead a little and do a few things I've been waiting on, and put the rest in savings.

I've been bothered by the way my schedule has worked out this semester, in that I can't get into the gym at all on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, which makes it pretty much impossible to do a 3 day a week running or lifting schedule. I can run on the indoor track at school on Sundays, or outside when it gets warmer, but I feel like 10 bucks a month isn't bad for having the option to go on a Friday or Saturday, and to be able to lift consistently. I stopped at Planet fitness after work tonight and got the tour and a rundown of the rates, and was actually impressed. They have all the machines I currently use, plus a lot of others I haven't learned yet. I was expecting to have to pay in full up front, but you pay the first month and a small start up fee, then you pay monthly after that, without a termination fee. There was a second option which I may do if Michael wants to go in on it with me, where you pay 20 dollars a month but you get unlimited guest privileges, so basically it's 2-for-1. It would be really nice to get him involved, either now or at the beginning of summer, but I feel like if we did it now it would be more likely to happen. He's not enthused about the idea of exercise, but he has said he'd like to get in shape, and I think it would be really cool for us to be able to do this together. So that's what I'm thinking about for when I get my refund.
