Stupid being too young

Do all college students have crisi's (shut up) in college? I mean I checked my charts and I do not have a Saturn crossing for a good ten years, so where the hell did this come from? All of this whiny "what am I going to do with my life? Zounds, what will become of me?" garbage. Grrr ( Read more... )

My dear Craft Sister,

When I was about your age a very wise woman (who is/was, not incidentally, also a priestess of Hecate and Eris) told me that I was already doing the Work of a priestess and so might as well go ahead and own that title. It took me nearly 10 years to really believe her, and another few years after that to get truly comfortable with the idea.

Here's some of what I've learned along the way...

1) For the really important Work, no piece of paper is required. In fact, the notion of credentials rarely comes up except in the company of people who's company I can (and do) *cheerfully* live without.

2) You either are or are not a priestess. Anyone else's validation or recognition of that state is irrelevant. The universe will continue to utilize you, or not, as it sees fit regardless of how many classes you have taken or who signed what.

3) Most priestess Work comes from the gut and the heart. The rest is just people-wrangling. Classes can make you aware of tools to help you access your gut and heart, and even improve your people-wrangling skills, but only time and personal experience can show you how and when to best use them.

4) If you keep your eye on the horizon, you miss seeing what's under your nose. ...And no, I won't explain that one. Figure it out for yourself :P

*hugs*
