This may be too specific for the purposes of livejournal, but can anyone suggest a good fiddle teacher in Western Massachusetts around Springfield? There are plenty in the little towns, but I'm not willing to commute that far.
Also, any suggestions for a good beginner book? I took lessons for two years, but my masters thesis got in the way. I never really made it past the novice stage, as I hate practicing (why is that?). Is there a book I could get to bone up on the basics?
