Great Stress for the Fiddler....

Has anyone played at an event like a wedding? I have to... Ever hear of Canon in D (of course you have!).... It's a pain to play.... By yourself. I just have to get a recording of the background and I'm set. I'm representing my family there, and my gift to my brother (the Groom) is my music, so it had better not be crappy ( Read more... )

I think I actually still have sheet music for a condensed version of that (I don't know how long they want you to play). I can scan that in if you need it. I actually took on trying to play the 1st and 2nd parts at the same time (hurrah for double stops), that sounds pretty good. And it seemed to be harder to detect small errors that way. That's maybe a bit much to learn in time for a wedding though :) Good luck with that.

Please! It's a version that's short and repeated right? What are double stops (I never really know about equipment except for mutes, shoulder rest and that kind of thing). How much is it too?

Double stops are just a technique, playing two strings at once. Unless someone lied to me, and that's called something else.

Anyway

It's a page of sheet music, you could repeat it as long as necessary, and it's kinda just the pretty parts of Canon that everyone knows. When do you need it by? I'll have to hunt it down and scan it, then send it to your email.

As soon as possible! Really, I need it before Tuesday. (Sorry if I'm imposing.)

I'll go home and look for it tonight, hopefully it's where I think it is. I'll either have to scan it in or make a little noteworthy file out of it - whatever ends up being quicker.
