Ooh, new chapter! (that I somehow missed)

This was great, and a little sad, and a little sweet.

- I love the nod to Fright-Night Tennant (HOLD ON TO THOSE LEATHER PANTS DOCTOR)
- I liked how younger!Rose is weirded out at their being two Doctors. It's easy to forget after so many stories that it was weird for everyone in the building. (oh, how things will change for you, young!Rose)
- It was sad to see poor younger!Rose sitting in her TARDIS bedroom and having it be the same yet different, and knowing that she's back where she wants to be (sort of) but can't stay.
- “Okay,” the other Rose said as her laughter died down, “now I really hate you.” :D
- I really enjoyed seeing the thought process of older!Rose. First that she was irrationally jealous, but then getting to the deeper issue of her hidden concerns about sometimes feeling left out, and finally having someone to share those thoughts with.
- Although I loved TenII flirting with her, it was also a bit sad to see younger!Rose so weirded out by the Doctor actually saying he loved her, and being open about it.
- I really liked this line- "the other Rose had it pinned back; when had she stopped doing that, she tried to remember?" I feel it really sort of captures that weird sensation when you look at old pictures or whatever of yourself and remember past you, but of course your memories are colored by present you. You're still the same person, and you might not feel different, but sometimes you find some keepsake or just things or people that were super important to you that are totally different, or something you used to wear or listen to that you've totally forgotten about, and it's weird to remember the difference. And I can only imagine how much odder that would be in person.

(I may have started some manips. We'll see how they go...)

So I know it's jumping the gun because you haven't gotten that far yet, but I made you a silly Rose/Rose manip and wanted to share?

it's not betaed so it's most likely got wonky bits and it's a bit cheesy with the pink and yellow stuff, but hopefully it's still cute? (Oh, and it's probably pg-13ish. No nudity, but probably nsfw.)

Sorry, I'm working on posting the next chapter and realized I never properly responded to this! I love your comment, because it picks up on and touches on so many subtle little things I threw in there that I wasn't sure came through strongly enough to emphasize how the same, but really different, these two women are. As I get older and older, I find myself (as I'm sure everyone does), looking back at the old me with a mixture of extreme envy, and complete and total revulsion at what an immature dork I was so much of the time...having to actually hang out with that person would be something else, wouldn't it?

Of course, you could always just screw their brains out and forget the rest...but that's the next chapter. :)
