What I did on my weekend!
So, my CLEAN ALL THE THINGS day turned into OKAY, JUST CLEAN THE OFFICE AND CALL IT GOOD day. About halfway through attempting to clean the office, we discovered that we just could not make it work with our pathetic lack of storage and the really, really sad old desk I used to have. Seriously, I can't even find "before" pictures of this thing because it was so awful any time I'd take a picture of the office I'd artfully frame the desk out of it, because it was so sad. So, we bought a new desk set!!!
These four pictures were taken over yesterday and today, which explains why Much Ado migrated from the floor to the wall (please ignore the sad clusterfuck of wires under my desk):
Once Peter Vincent is framed, he's going to switch places with Nine who will need to move elsewhere in the office, location TBD:
The lovely, framed Much Ado art has found its place!
Yeah. It is SO MUCH BETTER IN HERE, OMG. My new desk has a slide-out shelf for the keyboard, which means I can set stuff in front of me to type it up! BRILLIANT!
We also: bought new solar lamps for the front and back yards (really kind-of posh ones which hang on stakes and look very cool), took Mr. gin on many more driving lessons, and last night I made an amazing roasted garlic and horseradish crusted pork loin roast with baby red potatoes! Not a bad weekend...and I have today off! Just wish Mr. gin did, too. :(
