So I made it through roughly half of Hamlet before having to head to bed, but I DVR'd the whole thing and convinced at least one other person at work to do the same. There's something about watching something when it's actually on TV that makes it much more excited than your downloaded copy, a feeling of participation or something. I also noticed two subtle little things which slipped my attention previously:
1. When the ghost first appears, it does not show up in the security cameras. I remember
papilio_luna mentioning this, and realizing I'd missed that completely, so I paid close attention this time. Freaky!
2. When Hamlet confronts Ophelia ("Get thee to a nunnery, etc."), when they're being viewed through the mirror by Polonious, Hamlet is grasping at Ophelia and she's trying to wriggle away from him. But when it's Hamlet and/or RL-POV, Ophelia is the one reaching for Hamlet while he's holding up his hands trying to keep her away! Never caught that before, don't know if it was done on purpose as it was all cut very quickly with lots of flailing limbs and action, but it worked really well for me!
Anyway. Gorgeous as always. My US DVD is on pre-order at the moment and will ship May 4th, can't wait! I would have already ordered the UK DVD, but I want David to understand what a huge following he's got here in the US as well. :)
