When I re-watched "Fathers and Sons" last night, it amazed me how many parallels there were between Papa Ross and John. Ross Sr. left for weeks at a time, was emotionally unavailable, dragged his kid around in the car through various states, taught him to drive when he was 14 (I think), and completely f-ed up both his life and his kid's. Then there's the classic car. Pretty big stuff.
