AWWWW. Dean in a tie, standing up for the rights of myopics geeks everywhere, and maybe snagging the girl to boot.

Somehow I see this as a turning point in his estimation of who he is. Or maybe it's just a fun Christmas fic. Either way, I enjoyed it a lot. :)

A turning point maybe not so much about who he is, but what his place in the world is. Standing up for people who need your help.

Awww. Yeah, I think Dean would have a problem with bullies of ANY stripe, not just someone who might be picking on Sam. And of course he'd take them down efficiently. It's not about the "rules", it's about winning the darn fight. Heck, this was probably the few years he actually was in this position - I'd imagine that by high school bullies just knew to give him space and stay out of his way, because he just has that vibe of capability combined with just enough Bad Boy to steer clear.

He's the same kid who, years later, showed Ben how to take down a bully. Even if you're smaller, you figure out how to deliver the shot.

Of course bullies would rub him the wrong way. I love how he noted that no one was doing anything first. He knew that no higher school authority was going to fix it, so he stepped in protected those kids himself.

Thank you for sharing this lovely story.

Uhhh...a bazillion? It's 12 more days, and I'm definitely shooting for at least one a day. Maybe 2 a day on the days I don't have to work. And more if I can convince the Muse that drabbles are perfectly fine.

See, now, from where I sit as an admirer of your fics (and in awe of your collection of plot bunnies), that suits me just fine. I can store them up, should need arise. I have to have something to do for the two weeks that the uni shuts down entirely. So reading is good by me -- even drabbles.
