I've seen some pondering here and there about what would happen if John's storage unit (from Bad Day at Black Rock) went into arrears and fell into the hands of the crew from Storage Wars. This isn't that, exactly, but ... there's an auction, and the boys don't hear about it until it's too late. Or is it?

and what makes this even cooler is that over the weekend hubby and i were watching Storage Hunters over the weekend, and i could so see this happening.

Thanks! I did consider the possibility of one of that crew winning the auction - but I decided that this was more fun. Allowed for another look at the situation, further down the line. Glad you enjoyed it!

It's definitely a mystery. John seems to have arranged for someone to pay the monthly rental in perpetuity, because the issue that arose was that someone broke in, not that the rent hadn't been paid. I thought well, maybe Bobby was paying for it...but now Bobby's dead. So "who's paying?" is a good question. As is, what did Sam and Dean do with the U-Haul full of cursed objects?

Things like this are what fanfic was MADE for.

I'm one of those writers who resists explaining everything. I'd much rather leave things open, now and then, and let you draw your own conclusions. At this point, you're in the same position Sam and Dean are in. They don't know who these people are, either.

That was cool. I like the idea of the boys receiving help out of the blue, and even a place to rest when it's all over.
