SPN FIC - Legend (Part Fourteen: Deanna and Samuel)

Sep 02, 2011 11:00

I'd heard whispered bits of the story since I was a kid. Just after Halloween, back in '83, the demon Azazel had crept into the nursery of a baby boy, intending to drip blood into the child's mouth and turn him into demon spawn.  But Mary Campbell was waiting for him.  She had a gun a stranger had brought to her family ten years before: a gun that ( Read more... )

"They all hear the blast of gunfire from outside"...Things just got even more exciting!

The deliberate way you slowed the action to allow Deanna's character to be explored was a great choice. Gave me the chance to catch my breath. :)

Looking forward to what (and who) comes next.

I felt like we needed to take a breath before the (cough) "big action-filled finale." Or, more realistically - I knew I wouldn't have a whole lot of time to write today, and I wanted to get a chapter all put together. So: short. Slowed-down. Told by a ghost.

Almost done!

I had to do the last line that way, because of you guys sitting there going, "When does Mary show up???"

So.

There you go.

Almost.

I'm thinking Rufus is up in Vermont, enjoying his two hundred dollar whisky and waiting for the flood waters to recede!

And now...damn. Like I needed another bunny. There are a lot of tiny towns in Vermont completely cut off from the outside world because of hurricane flooding. Methinks Rufus would not enjoy being trapped somewhere.

And thank you for giving some to Deanna and to her and Samuel. Ivenever been happy with how Deanna was almost completely dismissed from the show, and how dedicated to bringing Mary back Samuel was, with no thought for Deanna. Unless there was an "unspoken" (read "unthought-of) reason for that...

That whole thing was idiotic. Making a deal with Crowley to get his daughter back, with no mention whatsoever of his wife. I *almost* could see it if they'd portrayed Mary as being a devoted "Daddy's girl", but they didn't. So it made as little sense as 3/4 of the other things the writers pull out of their hats.

Glad you enjoyed my revisionary take on the whole thing. :)
