Dean's always known what he needs, even when he doesn't know it himself.  And Dean's been right here with him this past couple of years - has been here to see that alone doesn't fit Sam very well.

Okay, so this was lovely and even made me tear up a little even though I haven't read the Hope-verse at all. Can't wait to go back and read what lead up to this. Very sweet brotherly interaction.

Oh, Carol!

This was so lovely--their fun day at the carnival, Dean doing his best to smooth the hurt for all 3 of them, showing Sam her pic, just EVERYTHING!

And the ending was perfect.
I really love how you shoehorned this little trio of stories into the Hope!verse.

3:30 this morning I was practically jumping out of bed squeeing because I *finally* had the hook to hang this thing on! I've had it on the To Do list forever, and I just couldn't get a fix on it. But then, thanks to big buckets of caffiene, there it was. And there's a follow-up. Because when I mentioned Sam's *kids* in the story where Bobby turned 100, people went Bzuh? Who's he end up with? (Maybe that was you.)

Yep, I love that I could make this slide into Hope Verse. And I love when Dean tries to make things good for Sam. I'm tickled that you enjoyed it! Thanks for being patient for so long.

Thanks for the glimps into Sam and Dean's teen years.. Dean acting as chaperone, now that's cute,scary but cute.

You're very welcome! I loved the mental picture of Dean hanging out on his lawn chair with his music, some drinks and a magazine, rather than shadow Sam around. He's a good big bro.

Awww poor Teen!Sammy! I always liked Connie from your other stories (and not just because she's got my grandma's name!) and I really enjoyed seeing a bit more of her here.

But then you have to think, if Sam hadn't moved away, if he and Connie had stayed together, she could have ended up on fire on the ceiling rather than as a Congressperson.

And of course now you've set me up wanting to see what happens next between them!

True enough! But if it had *all* been different... Poor Sam - normal is so out of reach.
