It's not like he's never been in a church before. He's been in lots of them. The only difference is, all the other times he's been in one - for the last ten years or so, anyway - he was chasing

Oh pleeeeeeease Kripke, give Dean (and Sam!) a happy ending like this one!

Love the idea of Castiel (I'm guessing it was Castiel and not Anna!) wiping Dean and Sam's memories - of Hell and what came after. I think that's probably the only way Dean could settle like this - settle for being 'Just Dean' after he and Sam have (hopefully) saved the world.

So all he needs is an angel and the love of a good woman. Not a problem... Well the angel part anyway...

I'm trying to work myself toward settling for any ending that doesn't involve both Sam and Dean in the Pit. \O/

I was kind of vague about the angel in case Kripke comes up with something huge that would work better - but yeah, Castiel definitely fills the bill for the time being. I like the idea of him doing that final kindness for Dean.
