Bobby going through the truck,finding all the material things John owned. Maybe Winchester was haunting it- damn staight, none could mess with the truck.
It's not the Impala but it's still important to John.
Bobby being angry at John for going alone, he should be mad.

I love the idea of Bobby doing his own grieving and also doing whatever he can to help the boys. This fits...it's exactly how it would have happened.

I re-watched parts of the Season 1 finale last night, and it was striking how even back then Bobby seemed to regard John as a close friend, someone he cared about. So I think he did do a good share of mourning his loss.

I love the little bits and piece of John in the truck. Nothing really that no one else would not have, except maybe a gun with silver rounds in it. The picture...I can see him pulling out from the visor every so often. Just looking at his boys. Remembering.

Bobby thinks of John as his brother. That hurts. Feels a good too.

I had to turn to Erin's photos of Truckzilla for a little visual research! He wouldn't have been able to keep much stuff in there, and he's not a man to carry a lot of *literal* baggage - so I thought, what bits and pieces would he have? It's sad when you reduce someone's whole life to a few insignificant belongings.

I knew I wanted to do something about the truck for Erin - at first I thought, the day John first shows up with it. But this seemed more important, the saying goodbye to a friend. I'm glad you liked it.

This was like a deleted scene from early season two. I could absolutely see Bobby taking care of John's truck and the few material objects he'd kept with him while also worrying about the far more important things he left behind, his sons and the Impala. Bobby's grief and anger about John not letting anyone help him were also spot on.

I think it's come up now and then, in the fandom - what *did* happen to John's truck? It wouldn't have been registered to "John Winchester," more than likely, so if it fell into the hands of the authorities, there'd be no problem for the boys. But it was of some monetary and strategic value, as were all the weapons John had. Since we've never seen the truck again, I thought, well, maybe it just got left there. Seeing Bobby clean it out seemed like an interesting thing to explore. So I'm glad you liked it!
