Title: Lord I Am Your Arm of Justice
Fandom: Supernatural
Summary: Sam/Dean; it was never functional to begin with.
Notes: Again, this and others all part of the "give me a pairing, I give you dysfunction" meme. This one is in second person. For some reason.
At this point, you are both their own worst enemies.
You never talked about it. It was just sort of…a thing. If you hurt yourself, its easy to go too far. Easy to let things get too bad. This way…it’s safer. Better.
Knowing each others’ worsts just makes it easier.
And a knife has two edges. In the end, it’s not his face you’re seeing as you say how do you live with yourself, god and you’re pretty sure it’s not yours when he says I hate you sometimes, so much it’s like I can’t see straight and you never talk afterward, never. Talking is dangerous.
You know it’s not healthy. But it could be worse. It really could be worse.
Title: Hold your body so tender like it was made of glass
Fandom: Supernatural
Summary: Sam/Lucifer. When it's all you have, you make do.
In August Sam gets word that Bobby’s dead.
Half out of spite, half out of grief, he shoots himself in the head.
When he opens his eyes, Lucifer is sitting next to him, one hand running through his hair, looking unbearably sympathetic. Sam’s head hurts. “Why do you do this to yourself?” Lucifer asks, softly. “You have to know it won’t work.”
Sam is lonely. Sam is tired. Sam sometimes thinks he’s bleeding dry day by day. “Stop,” he says, because even a little kindness is too much.
“I only want to give you everything,” Lucifer says, sounding hurt. “I don’t like it when you hurt yourself.”
Lucifer’s hand through his hair is soothing. Sam closes his eyes and thinks god, this is all I have left.
Title: The Mercy of the Wicked
Fandom: Supernatural
Summary: Sam/Castiel. This is more than he'll ever deserve.
You don’t deserve this.
It was important to remember that. Important to remember how honored he should feel. How Castiel risked soiling himself with every touch. Important not to get caught up, not to think this was something more than it was.
And if the angel’s eyes sometimes seemed warm, affectionate; if sometimes he sat shoulder to shoulder with Sam and talked to him about nothing much at all-
It was important to remember that it was because Castiel was good, and merciful, and righteous, and he would never deserve that.
