I know this is long closed, but, not going to lie, I'm glad nobody filled this, because I...LOL I am working on this. ;) I started a massive outline after the elections in Nov. Hee.
It feels like they sit there all night on the steps by their favorite coffee cart (theirs; Booth has spent eight months trying not to think about everything that is theirs). He lets Brennan babble on and on about - some custom indigenous to Indonesian culture, he's not actually paying attention to her words so much as the sound of her voice. He's missed it constantly wanting to explain the world to him; he missed her. God almighty, after everything - after everything! - he is completely overwhelmed by how much he missed Bones. Head over heels, utterly overwhelmed

"Alicia," Peter is saying, in a voice like maybe this isn't the first time he's called her name. "Alicia."
Alicia stares for a moment as if she's never seen him before, a sound like waves and roaring in her head. "What? I mean," and here she slips her phone back into her purse (tampering with evidence; her heart pounds), "Yes?"
Dark eyebrows arc up, curious. "What do you think?"
"What do I...?" Alicia laughs once, slightly hysterical. "Oh, Peter, I have no idea."

There are so many great lines in here. I love the thought about his father. And the cigars and memoirs.
