Dillinger Escape Plan, baby!

holy shit on a blessed silver platter.

DEP was PHENOMENAL last night. it was easily the best show I've ever been to. Greg Puciato is such a charismatic front man; he gets in there with the crowd and treats them like they're on his level, not below it. I spazzed out when they did "When Good Dogs Do Bad Things." I was jumping all over Jessica, screaming like a child...the works! the guy in front of us looked me in an odd manner and said, "What the fuck?" I didn't care though, cause it was awesome. Fuckin' A', man. That show catapulted DEP from my list of "Bands I kinda like" to my list of "Bands that own my soul and if you don't like them there's something seriously wrong with you." The show...everything about it, the lights, the performance, the crowd...was fucking "awesome"(-Toni, 2:02pm, Media Center,Computer 40). The only other cool things were random things about Every Time I Die's set. They had a big cardboard cut out of a muscular black guy dressed as a construction worker next to the drum riser and the singer changed his mic stand in the middle of the set from a regular stand to one that had a cowbell attached to it. interesting stuff, lemme tell ya.

After the show, Jessica and I hung around by the fence and waited for DEP to come out. Greg and Liam came out and associated with their admirers. Greg answered everyone's questions readily, which was nice. He was talking about DEP's contract with Relapse(and how much it sucks), DEP's "relationship" with Mike Patton, and DEP possibly touring with Tool next year (woot woot!). He was just hanging around with us, like we were his friends or something. Then he took some kid backstage, for no reason at all, and just hooked him up with some stickers and what not. The kid looked really psyched about it, so kudos to him (where ever he is). Greg signed my ticket, then everyone left.

and it was fucking TIGHT.

oh, I forgot to mention that GHD was there. ::snicker::.
