Dear L.E. Modesitt (though I'm sure other authors have been guilty of the same sin),
if you're going to quote something in a different language, make sure it's correct. For those of us who actually speak the language or know the piece referenced (or both), it's extremely jarring to have five spelling mistakes and two grammar inconsistencies in three lines' worth of a quote.
Was your editor asleep? Did you even employ one? D:
(Nevermind that "The Soprano Sorceress" is a somewhat clichéd and poorly-written dreck of a book anyway. It still was decently enjoyable as brainless entertainment - popcorn for the brain, if you will - until all the misquotings started popping up.)
