[When a little girl drops in front of Ling, he's sitting on the side of his bed, having been listening to that noisy vent shuffling for awhile now. When she hits the ground, he just turns on the lamp beside the bed.]

You could have just used the window. [Like normal people do when breaking in!]

[She spins around and moves to blind him with her flashlight, but why are his eyes closed.] Who're you?!

[Squinted! But enough that the flashlight doesn't bother him much.]

Ling Yao. Though being the guest, you should have introduced yourself first.

As if you don't already know! [He already wrote her name in the book!] And if this is how you think people treat their guests, you really oughtta get your eyes checked! [Now chucking the flashlight at him!

[He ducks the flash light, but doesn't really move to stop her.]

[She sprints around the corner and hopefully toward the exit!]

[He casually follows her when she turns the corner, flipping on lights as he follows, but not trying to stop her.]

Well don't be too loud. You might wake up other people. [A pause as he realizes the direction she's going - a closet.] The exit is the other way.

[She ignores him (especially the part about the being too loud) to run up to the door and yank it open -- and why yes, that is a closet.] Aww!

[Finally, she turns to face him with her journal in hand and breaks out a well-practiced martial arts stance.] Come on, do your worst!

[Oh. He wonders how good she actually is. But, you know, he's not keen on picking a fight with a little girl, so he doesn't do much other than cross his arms.

[Alright, she'll teach him to underestimate Jade Chan! She leaps up and gains an improbable amount of air before dropping for a kick right to the kisser.]

[Impressive! Except... you know, that isn't a very good idea to do with a sundress, so Ling quickly steps aside instead of catching her by her foot like he normally would. (i.e. I realized how unfortunate that would be.)]
