I've been working as a janitor for the past couple of years and the company I work for has asked me several times if I would take a position as a crew foreman. I politely declined each time because I felt the pay increase didn't match up with the added responsibilities.
This weekend I got a call from them and this time wanting to know if I would consider being a supervisor. After talking to our HR guy, I couldn't say, "no." I mean, basically, the position is the same as a foreman, only I don't do toilets, trash, or windows. The $12,000 raise ain't bad either.
