Good lord, captain sexy

Summary: After Doomsday, Rose is convinced that the Doctor will find her some day. But what if she finds him, and he's not the Doctor she's expecting?
Your thoughts?: It has Jack! Not as much as I'd like, but Jack! Captain Sexy!
But of course, he's not the focus of the story. I just like any amount of Jack that shows up anywhere. O_o Anyway, this story professes to have "cliches all around," but having never actually delved much into the realm of Dr. Who fiction, I'm not really the one to make that call. It's brilliantly possibly in character (from what i've seen of the Dr. Who universe. Which, admittedly, isn't much... just the ninth and some of the tenth, plus torchwood), and the plot is excellent and dear god i love the concept. It's written in present tense which is kind of strange... a solid half of it reads like a character vignette, and after seventeen chapters, it gets a tad mind boggling. But the action parts of it (and yes, there is action, and did i mention that Captain Sexy is in it?) are excellent.

to cut a long story and a series of recommendations as long as my arm short,
anything by wmr is GOOD STUFF. Especially her captain jack trilogy (which i didn't rec because a) i read it second and b) if you don't like captain sexy, then the whole thing will be a waste). Anyway.

So, the more astute of you may have noticed that the Ninth Doctor is also Claude from Heroes. I WANT CROSSOVER. FEED ME CROSSOVER. PLZ. T_T I've been searching through "ninth" but there's really nothing there that's actually decent, and any google searches bring up the weirdest stuff.
