Mod Post MJ. This is serious stuff.
Hey guys, quick few things because they've become issues.
First of all, remember that you can only recommend one fic by an individual muse journal per week. Also, remember that you do not have to rec fiction that was written this week. If you look back in history and find a piece of work you loved, by all means rec it now. It's about fiction sharing and sometimes older stuff is the best!
Now for the srs bznss.
This is a fun community only for the purposes of sharing prompt fiction loved by readers and finding new fiction you might not have found before. That is all this community is. It's a pretty laid-back and fun place, I think, with only a few basic rules.
That being said, abuse to other members is not allowed. Period. This should be obvious, but apparently it is not. I figure we're all smarties here and know the difference between kindness and abuse. If you don't like someone that's fine, just don't talk or interact with them. Abuse is just not tolerated. This is a place for happy fun and occasionally random porkchop sandwiches, not nastiness.
If someone abuses you email me at naughtygirlslikepolka AT gmail DOT com. Let me see know happened and my co-mod and I will take care of it. By "take care of it" I mean the offender will no longer be allowed in ficrecfriday. I will not make a big production out of the situation, I will simply ban the offender and send them an email informing them that they have been banned. If the offense continues after that it's really out of my hands and I will recommend you take the issue to LJ Abuse.
As a reccer, you are allowed to recommend banned members' fic. Why? Because I plan to handle member removal discreetly, there should be no reason for you to know if someone is not allowed except that they do not post to this community.
