Drabble, originally untitled, now: "Going North"
Written for tkp's request of Oz post-season 4 (drabble request meme)
A pickup truck pulls over, the driver seemingly willing to take him.
“Going north,” he says, in three different languages before one fits.
He thinks he’s being asked for a more specific city, but he shrugs, not knowing how to say that it doesn’t matter. That it took him four days to even find out what country he’s in now, and that hadn’t mattered to him either. He’s motioned to hop in.
He doesn’t know this place well, and he doesn’t carry a map. He doesn’t know what he’ll find north of here.
But he wants to see it anyway.
