Beckett slumped on the floor, leaning against the bathtub, after having emptied the contents of her stomach for the third time this morning. She wondered what was going on; it had been more than three days of this. Then a thought hit her. Could it be?
She slowly got herself up from the floor and rinsed her mouth out. She opened the cabinet and removed a small box. She'd taken so many of these tests since she married Castle she didn't even need to read the box anymore. Each one had resulted in one heartbreak after another. Taking a deep breath, she took the test again, trying to prepare herself for the heartbreak that the results would surely bring.
Three minutes later, an unexpected answer stared back at her. Two single pink lines filled her heart with more joy than she had ever thought possible. Tears filled her eyes and slid down her face. "Kate?" Castle asked, easing the door open. Noticing her tears, he hurried to her side. "What is it? What's wrong?"
She shook her head. "Nothing. I'm fine." Handing him the test results, she smiled into his eyes. "I'm pregnant."
