Okay first off, I have to tell you how much I love your writing. There's a funny sarcasm in Jared's thoughts even when he's hurting and that just made it more realistic while reading the story. Nothing was overdramatic and Jared's characterization was solid from beginning to end. But God, you really put the poor guy through the ringer. I wasn't expecting Jensen and Chad scheming the whole thing, and was extremely satisfied when Jared punched Jensen in the face, though I thought Chad deserved it too. Like most of the comments, I wasn't thrilled to see how apologetic and guilty Jared ended up feeling because having your heart broken over and over can really drive a person insane.
The only thing that really kept me from literally kicking Jensen's ass and beating him to a pulp was his obvious love towards Jared, which you showed perfectly despite it being in Jared's perspective. However, that still doesn't justify humiliating Jared publicly and then coming up with a crazy plan to get Jared back, while expecting Jared to just fall in line with all of it. It's like he's mad that Jared didn't immediately accept him back, and then pissed that Jared went off the rails because his life was a complete mess, no thanks to Chad and Jensen himself.
I think I really needed to read the full reconciliation scene. It was kind of a letdown not being able to read the part where the boys talked it out because that was what I had been waiting for the entire story. Jared apologizing I can understand, but why Jensen ended up being the "victim" in all this while Jared shoulders most of the blame leaves me a bit baffled. Jared didn't even know Jensen was trying to win him back, and when Jared actually wanted to talk before, Jensen blew him off.
Oh goodness, maybe I'm just a bit too emotionally invested in this story, which is a total kudos to your ability to capture your reader. I'm hoping and praying for a timestamp or even more of the story because I can't get enough of it. ♥ Thanks for writing this. I should really be sleeping...
