work, ryan, and naked danrad!
I am having a grand old time doing absolutely nothingggg today on my day off, spending my time curled up in a blanket reading slash and perusing various websites. It's fantastic. I love having days off.
Work is alright but a little heinous in the hours department -- on Saturday I worked from six a.m. to ten p.m. without breaks. I mean, I could have taken breaks. I just didn't for... some... reason. It wasn't this bad when I started, though. When I first got there, there were six of us in pet care (for those who don't know, I work at PetSmart. I'm a ~*~Pet Care Specialist~*~ which means I take care of/sell all the animals. Yay!), but now there are only four. Seeing as there needs to be two pet care people on at all times, things are a little unhappy lately hahaha.
On the bright side, annniiimmaaallllsss. I love slow days where I can just chill with all the pets and play. There is a ball python named Xena who has stolen my heart, and a California kingsnake named Quentin who's just the cutest friggin' thing I've ever seen. Also this adorable blue rat named Chloe who we keep in the isolation room just because we love her so much.
Off topic of work -- I realized I never posted any pictures of my super awesome^ultimate nephew, Ryan! He's visiting Nana down in North Carolina right now, but he and I spent some quality time together for about two weeks right after he was born. The only bad part about that (besides having to work on <4 hours of sleep) was the fact that I was shacking up with Erin and her boyfriend in their one-bedroom apartment in Chelsea for two weeks. The few people from Mass on my flist should understand. Chelsea. Dear God, I feared for my life.
This is about two hours after he was born, post-bath and wrapped up like a burrito:

So that's that. I feel like I have other news but can't remember it right now. I'm heading off for some delicious Italian food at Vinny Testa's momentarily, so I guess I'll be off.
OH, PS. EQUUS IN NY. I'm (planning on) going with irrevokable, otempora01 and elethoniel (!!!). Anyone else thinking of hitting this up?!
