Rossi thought a moment, then nodded some, “True…but I don’t think everything is. I think…” he smiled over at her, “I think friendship is, I think love is, and I think you are.”
“Me?” she gave an angry sort of laugh, “I think most that know me would disagree.”
“Not at all, Emily. Those that really know you, like Matthew did, would know your spirit, your capacity to love, is one of the most sacred things in creation.”
Emily smiled as tears flowed.
