Change in the air...
Long time no see, my peeps of livejournal land....
Firstly, many thanks to all of you who wished me a Happy Birthday back on/around the 17th. August was a pretty crappy month this year, so I doubly appreciate all the warm wishes.
Speaking of the recent unpleasantness, Kymmy and I seem to be doing okay. There's random tears and odd heavy sadness, but we figure that's normal for this kind of situation. I'm still trying to decide on design and placement of some ink to remember him by, and Kymmy's working on something else that's close to her heart. We have an appointment with the Head of Fetal Medicine at RPA on Friday and then another fertility clinic appointment on the 9th. I'm not going to lie, this has been really hard... But I think we're okay. Well, I hope we are anyway. Just gotta think good thoughts for the next go 'round.
Lots of other stuff going on in the IVF world, it may affect us or it may not. We'll find out more on the 9th.
In the meantime, HoC has been mainlining True Blood like it was.. Well... Blood. Hence the temporary change in layout/default icon (it'll be back my Boys in Green in time for the season tip-off in October). I've managed to devour four of the nine Sookie Stackhouse books in two weeks. I picked up two more today plus 'Let The Right One In'. It appears I've rediscovered my love of reading. It's been a while. :)
Other than moping a little and watching the vampires, there's not been much going on. My girl did her absolute best to make sure I had a happy birthday, even though I really didn't feel like celebrating at all. I got sick last week and slept for three days straight. Work is hurting my head/soul.
....That's about it. I know I must be forgetting something, but I can't for the life of me think of what. Oh! This isn't it, but I thought I'd start mentioning it now - SPN S5 shall soon be upon us. As usual, HoC will be hosting a Sydney area premiere party. More details to follow in a few days or so. Friday, September 11th - Come along if you're in Sydney. It's fun times with fangirls, I promise. :)
