Disclaimer: None of these 13 amazingly talented guys belong to me.
Author's note:This is just something I decided to write out of boredom. :) So, sorry if some of this is just babble.
The fic was inspired by the following macro:
Well, enjoy! :D
(Part One) It was later in the evening, and all the Super Junior members were busy piling into a van, which would take them back to their respective dorms.
"Heechul, are you okay?" Leeteuk asked, grabbing hold of his dongsaeng's hand, before the younger man could bolt into the black van.
Ever since Leeteuk had caught him crying on the bleachers, Heechul had been carefully keeping his distance from the leader. And that also meant avoiding Leeteuk's questioning gaze at all cost.
"I'm fine hyung." Heechul hesitantly replied, trying to keep his tone indifferent.
He coolly slipped on his favourite pair of dark shades before stepping into the vehicle -- leaving Leeteuk dumbstruck at the entrance.
'Hyung?' When has Mr. I-don't-give-a-damn-about-formalities ever called me that? Leeteuk wondered to himself.
Something was definitely up with Kim Heechul.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Leeteuk observed as Heechul's attitude seemed to change.
During the following days of (somewhat typical) SuJu antics -- think somewhere along the lines of Kyuhyun trying cook and Yesung losing one of his turtles yet AGAIN -- the second eldest had hardly even uttered a single word to anyone.
What really worried Leeteuk was that Heechul gradually lost his appetite.
One night, Leeteuk found himself lying awake in bed, trying to overcome insomnia.
He had to admit, he was more than a little concerned about Heechul.
"I give up!" the hyung huffed to no one in particular.
No matter how hard he tried to get some shut-eye, the leader just couldn't -- especially with worry viciously gnawing at his insides.
Leeteuk decided to take a walk.
As he tip-toed past Heechul's room, Leeteuk heard the sound of stiffled sobs emitting from behind the closed door.
He took a deep breath, then, lightly tapped on his dongsaeng's door.
The sobbing stopped.
When Teukkie was SURE that he wasn't going to receive an answer, he poked his head through the door frame.
Almost immediately, a fluffy white pillow came hurtling towards him, smacking the hyung square in the face.
"Yah, Chul! Don't need to get violent!"
"Get out, or I'll really show you violence!" Heechul shot Leeteuk one of his famous death-glares.
The elder man chose to ignore that statement. Instead, he walked straight into the room, keeping a 50-inch radius from his dongsaeng who looked ready to pounce at any given moment.
"We both know that something's wrong." Leeteuk said.
Now, THAT opened up the floodgate.
"I- I miss my China Man!!! I want him to come back! I don't care that he filed a law suit! This room feels cold and empty without him... and I miss his Beijing Fried Rice!!" Heechul choked out, tears spilling down his cheeks.
"Don't cry..." Leeteuk moved in to give the younger man a hug.
Heechul didn't even bother to resist the hug. He was too upset.
"Now, there's no one to make me feel better when haters slam me on the internet. I may put up a tough front, but I have my limits, you know!" Heechul continued.
Leeteuk stood, stunned at the sight of Heechul showing his vulnerable side. He should have paid Heechul more attention.
"Hey, we love you -- all of us here at SJ. Yeah, sometimes we think you're a little mean, but then you wouldn't be Heechul, now would you? And Hangeng's going to visit us soon." Leeteuk said.
"I know... but it still sucks."
"Yah! Don't be like this! You're Kim Heechul -- the one with the witty come-backs! Unlike me. You should ask Eunhyuk how I tried to make up my own one-liners on Sukira the other day. You could literally hear the sound of rotten tomatoes being pelted at me."
Heechul cracked a smile.
"You know something, old man? I think you generally suck at cheering people up." he teased.
Leeteuk playfully smacked him on the arm.
"But, for me, it works just fine... Erm, do you mind getting your hands of me now?" Heechul added.
Leeteuk noticed his arms were still tightly holding on to Heechul. "Mianhae." he said, sticking out his tounge playfully.
"That's childish for an old man like you!" Heechul snorted.
"I am NOT old!" the hyung objected in mock despair. Then, he walked towards the door now happy that Heechul felt better.
" You can always come talk to me, you know, when someone says something hurtful about you." Leeteuk assured his dongsaeng.
He was about to step out when Heechul said, "Thanks... hyung. I think I'm going to be better now."
"Goodnight," Teukkie smiled, walking back to his room.
Suddenly, he heard a yell. "Die, bastards! Die!" and then a whole lot of profanities.
Now, who could be swearing at this hour?
A/N: Blah! I am not very satisfied with this post -- oh well. xD Sorry for pulling out the typical (and predictable) HanChul card, I promise to write better next time! :)
