Health update...
After a third dizzy spell today, I called my doctor and was seen immediately at the urgent care center.
I have hypertension.
Pretty bad hypertension.
So now I'm on a beta blocker to hopefully lower my blood pressure. I am to try to remain calm and stress free until the meds kick in (yeah, right...with my job?), and I have to alter my diet (sob!), and get exercise (without increasing my heartrate too much...um, what?!?!?!).
Hey, did you know that (at least in Illinois) if you have a syncopal episode (fainting or passing out) and they don't know why, you can have your driver's license revoked for 6 months?
No, I didn't either. Thank god my doctor today 'convinced' me that I didn't really lose consciousness...just came close. (I'll swear on a stack of bibles, really, if it means I can still drive and actually, um...keep...my...job...)
Anyhow, that's my life now. Another pill. Lovely.
